How much does a KA24 set one back? I know with an SR swap you're looking at around $1500 with transmission and an RB close to $2500 with transmission, but the last motor I had to buy was a JDM 4G63 so I'm really only familiar with the purchase and build costs for those.

haha no! because the shark nose is better for a FMIC, the pig nose has to be trimmed out to the max, then there is no support and it starts to sag, making all the gaps between the fenders look messed up.

Well, I gave the machine shop a call today, and i have decided to let them rebuild my engine. With me being busy with work, school, other stuff, I don't think I'll be able to rebuild it myself. Also my lack of experience in rebuilding an engine. They will be doing a port and polish on the head, and boring out and honing the engine + the full rebuild. They said whenever I am ready, I can bring the engine and parts.

What are you getting it bored out to? Are they gonna install the forged internals also?

haha, so the engine that was originally in the car, the knocking one, I took the oil pan off of it finally. It was cylinder number 4 what was knocking, there was at least like 2-3 millimeters of play between the connecting rod, and the crankshaft. I'm surprised I didnt blow it through the black whenever I revved it. haha

Haha you know, when I pulled apart my 4G63 that was knocking cylinders three and four had both spun rod bearings. There must be something about import engines and those cylinders having issues. You are really lucky you didn't destroy that block though haha.

Lol I've always wanted to do that, just drain the fluids and bounce it off the limiter until something breaks, maybe hook up a 150 shot of nitrous too it for added explosive potential.
