to bad for you, I could have done your engine for you for my project for my engines class. All it was was gonna cost you was parts and maybe I would charge you $20 for labor overall

well first off, your gonna need more tools than you think... thread chasers and thread starters, bead blaster, an engine oven, hot parts washer, air compressor, blowgun, torque wrenchs, bore machine, micrometers, books, dial bore gauge, and so much more...

I donno if I'd call it rice, not many ricers actually make worthwhile mods to the engine internals, it just looks like rice in its present condition.

I know for a fact. If you turbo charge the Monte Carlo you will have more wins and more fun in the street. But i thinking, You are considering drifting with the 240. The 240 does has equal weight distribution.

Any way here is the web-site to build a killer Monte.

Cartuning Performance 3800 Turbo Kit: 3800 Performance

I will post video of a customer 1999 GTP (supercharge) with only bolt on parts making 300hp at the wheels. the s/c 3800 is 280hp and the N/A 3800 is 200hp.

yea, I am considering drifting it, and it does have very good weight distribution. I also have a variety of suspension upgrades for it, which will make it handle tighter.

so you looked at the first page......have you seen the third page? heard of back pressure? turbo's dont like that as much as an N/A does. If you dont have anything worth while to post in a build thread, don't.

Too much back pressure and the turbo won't spool fast enough and you're dealing with some hardcore turbo lag. The more open the exhaust the faster the exhaust gases can escape past the turbo so the quicker it'll spool up so the sooner he'll hit peak torque. It'll sound better once he fixes up the motor and tunes it for the turbo setup.

Chris, how nose-heavy is that 240? Are you going to do any fiberglass or carbon panels or just simple things like battery relocation? Also what are you going to do for engine management?

Well I am relocating the battery, and I am not doing anything with paint until the car has a good tune and is running properly. For engine management I have sent my ECU to JWT for a pre-tune, and then I also bought the Apexi SAFC neo to further adjust/fine tune my setup.
