deff go>show with this car. I dont give a sh!t about the body, if the engine don't run, it doesnt matter. I'll rock the multicoloredness all the time if I have too. Anyways, im pretty pissed at this car right now. I have to take the engine back out, and rebuild it. One of my F@#king pistons isnt even working. I guess the dumba$$ who "rebuilt" this engine was retarded and either didnt put a connecting rod in there ot forgot to tighten the bolts? So i'm like F#%K THIS! I'm taking out a 4 thousand dollar loan and rebuilding and turboing the engine.
Not aot of psi, just about 8-10 pounds. Gonna be running a JWT tuned ecu, maybe a piggyback daughterboard, SR20 fuel injectors, a T(25,28 or 3) turbo, prolly an SR down pipe, and im keeping the gutted cat and 3 inch catback exhaust.

Once I get my loan, there will be updates.

When you have the block apart, tell me if the cylinders are honed. I know the old "rebuilt" engine in my talon had honed cylinders that were all at different bores, running pistons and rings designed for the stock bore so I was getting some absolutely terrible compression.

1. Cometic Metal headgasket
2. Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
3. ARP headstuds
4. OEM Piston ring set
5. Rod Bearings
6. New belts

This is all the little stuff I ordered just to get it outta the way. Will have pics when I get all the stuff.

My bigger project is to come, swtiching my cars, so this one is in the garage, and my 89 240sx is outside during the winter. This isn't going to be fun.

When you do the turbo conversion are you going to keep the stock compression and tune the boost low or are you going to run a high boost setup? What are you going to run for injectors?

Since he's rebuilding the engine, might as well lower the compression to get the most out of the turbo, unless there's something I'm missing unique to small import tuning.

Well the pistons I'm buying keep the stock compression, but are a hella lot stronger. I do want to run higher boost levels, but I'll stick with a low boost level until I get everything running right. And for injectors I'm going to be running injectors from Nissan's SR20 motor, which are 370cc injectors. I do want to upgrade to 550cc from Nismo, but they are expensive...maybe in the future?

You could maybe see if for the time being once you're running your 255 fuel pump you could step up first to DSM 450cc injectors, those are typically only 50 to 100 bucks for a set of 4.

Why not get an RB26DET or RB26DETT? Those engines have more potential than the SR20 and KA24

I'd stick with the engine he has now. it's a solid choice, and I dont know much about it, but I bet there's a lot to get out of it. yeah, in a perfect world I'd have a terminator cobra.. but that doesnt happen

I'm going ka-t because its the stock engine in the 240. I'm looking to only make 250-350whp. Plus, The RB's are a totally foreign engine to put in the 240, which in return, involves more problems with install, and prolly in the future too. Don't get me wrong, I would love to swap in a RB25DET, but like Apollo said, I'm not made of money. Plus, KA-T's arn't that popular here in buffalo. Also, with the RB's and the SR, I'de have to import it......which costs a good deal of money. I'de rather pay shipping for a 450whp turbo setup, than order an RB, SR, CA.

Anyways, I ordered an Apexi GT Spec Down Pipe. Its an 80mm large pipe. It should be coming in soon.
haha, With the downpipe, gutted cat, and 3 inch catback exhaust, there is gonna be like no back pressure, good for a turbo car

yo man nice 240. Looks like you put a lot of hard work and money into that thing. I'm basically doing the same thing myself, but replace all the work your doing with the engine with body work haha. I bought my 93 mazda mx6 wrecked (she rear ended an suv) for $350.00 and towed it to my house.

Keep up the good work my man. I'll be checking in for updates.
