240sx S14
I'm a big fan of the S14...I'd get one, but I don't like doing something everyone else is doing. So instead I got a 1987 Mercedes Benz 190e 2.6L
off my own money, no parental help (which = pain in the a**)
I'll post pics as soon as I get caught up enough to buy a digi-cam. or borrow a friends.
Back to the topic though-The S13 is a great car, but the brake lights turn me off from it
and the S15 is just to round...I like more straight line cars, the S14 is perfect for me! But I'd rather go with a Turbo with the KA24 than do a SR20 swap.
Seems like everyone goes with the SR20 swap...I'd like to see someone just randomly slam a V-8 into one lol, that'd make a cool project.

LS1 240sx = SEXY
If I had the money to do an LS1 swap I would, but it costs so much. I'm just going SR because its pretty much a direct swap. I was considering going CA18 also? I have a long time to think about which engine I'm going to go with. I would like a kouki S14 also. I love the front end on it!
The 240 is just a really fun car to work on and drive. My friend Rob has a 240 with all suspension work on it, and that car handles like a dream! its super tight in the corners and sticks to the road like no tomorrow! he also has some racing seats that hold your ass in place, which you really need for the way that car handles.

If I were to get a 240...it's Kouki S14 all the way...fast, sexy, well known, and around here..it's actually rare...yeah..I know, a little hard to believe...the only real "tuner scene" we have around here is "Civics UNITE!!" or something, its like 9 Civics with V-tec and a the biggest exhaust pipes ever, and they all sport the exact same black rims...like they just got together and bought in bulk or something...it's really sad...that's why I want to branch out, try the benz out for size lol
Plus, I want to see what happens when there's something besides a V-tec on the roads revvin at stop lights...the same old growl gets old after so long.

Honestly Chris, you know me, I think the LS1 in a 240 is so impure. It's like "get that out that's not supposed to go in there."... or fast and the furious 3, when the put the nissan engine in a 60s Mustang. Also, speaking of handling, your weight distribution would be ruined, and that thing would not handle well at all. Just a counterpoint

Actually, many people have done LS1 swaps. The LS1 really isnt that much heavier than when people do a skyline engine swap(RB20DET,RB25DET,RB26DETT). The weight distribution is easy to fix. If you have coil over suspension, then all you have to do is adjust how tight you ride upfront. Have other adjustable suspension would make it easier. I see what you mean by "not where it belongs", but seriously, if you pulled up to a 240sx with an LS1, I think you would have to appreciate it. If anybody has ever called a 240sx with an LS1 swap a "ricer" then that person need to run away from me . but seriously, I really want to do one of these swaps.

I uploaded a video of a guy that did the LS1 swap here
It looks and sounds like a beast.
