Plus it looks cool.
Btw, have any of you ever driven an older Vette? I have, and they are no screaming hell. Horrible visibility, terrible ride, goofy suspension, and it felt cheap. Now don't get me wrong, I love Vettes; just not these ones.

The worst vette ever built (by numbers) was the '77. Facts are facts. And yes I have driven a few of this generation of vettes, even the 454 4-speed model, and I don't totally agree with you. It's not a Mercedes, it's a vette. It's not supposed to be comfortable, it's supposed to be scary. Adrenaline rush and image are the real driving design behind the vette. Sure, most car guys would rather have a duesenberg than a vette because we all know the status quo on a duesy. The average person however, is only going to see "an old car". They all know what a vette is though. So, if it was for a collection, the delorean. For driving, the vette.
