Saleen Raptor
http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/new_...ZXB0LXNhbGVlbg
check that out! That car is hot! Personally, I like it better than the S7, and it's a lot cheaper (which is still ridiculously expensive but go figure). They're asking $185,000, but this design they have going is really art on wheels... not to mention speed. Thoughts???

"Power will come from a mid-mounted 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 that will put out 650 bhp at 6300 rpm and 630 lb.-ft. of torque at 4400 rpm. The engine is all-aluminum with three-valves per cylinder and a 10.6:1 compression ratio. The supercharger is a twin-screw system aided by a water-to-air charge cooler. It's also designed to run on E85 ethanol. But Saleen isn't just using ethanol because it's a renewable fuel: "By using ethanol fuel, the powertrain is able to run higher compression and yield approximately 5 percent more horsepower than our normal 5.0-liter supercharged engine," says the company.
A 6-speed manual transmission will come standard in the Raptor, with a paddle-shifted sequential gearbox optional. The performance meter should be pegged with this car: Saleen estimates 0–60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, the quarter mile in 10.9 sec. and a top speed over 200 mph."
..... enough said.

It looks really sharp. It almost looks like the windshield glass goes from the front of the car all the way to the back. Interesting that the car runs better on E-85 than regular gasoline.

I'd totally buy one, that's a good looker. Supercharged 5.0 V8, one can only assume it was sourced from the Mustang and tweaked how you'd expect Saleen to tweak them so it's reliable too.

I know, I'd like to see them drop that down to $100,000ish... then have a version that's naturally aspirated... but then I guess the tuned mustangs wouldnt have a place.

my thoughts??? Drop-dead gorgous!!! I'd love to have that piece of heaven sitting in my driveway. Hahah, Mark do you think my dad would go for that? First the Nissan... now the Raptor.... Oh boy is he going to upset with me! Haha, but yeah it's very nice and can't wait until they test against a more powerful car... sayy bugatti veyron??... and see what it can really unleash. And it looks similar to the shape of the Lotus Elise or Exige with the front body style. I like it a lot, very sporty and temping. I wish they showed other views of the back and interior, though.
