I agree with GOAT1966!! (that was hard to type) These are all factory production cars built in the 80's. The reason Calloway IS listed is because it was a factory option (had a option code) and the car was shipped from the assembly plant to Calloway to do the mods then delivered to the dealer.
The Typhoon and the syclone were both built in the 90's that is why they are not listed.
The 1000HP viper is NOT even close to a factory car. This was a car that was tuned by a shop sfter the car was purchased by the owner. Vipers also were not for public sale until the 90's and will END production by 2011.
I imagine the 1980 TA is not mention for the same reason the 84-85 buick GN's were not listed, they were a JOKE and most non turbo cars were faster. I imagine this is the same reason the Talon was not mentioned, in stock form it was not anywhere close in performance to most of the cars that were listed.
I was unaware that twin turbo's were offered on DeLorean's when they were in production. Those things are a nightmare to keep running I would hate to have to deal with the heat from a twin turbo setup adding to the problems.
The Vette was the fastest listed however I will have to vote for the GNX. The reason is in the 80's this car was faster than about anything on the road at the time and nobody had a clue what it was or what it was capable of. This still happens 20 years later, most think it is a Monte Carlo and usually laugh when you tell them it has a V6 (Goat1966 knows this) and are in awww when they see what it is capable of. These cars are capable of 11 sec ET's with MINIMAL work (again ask GOAT1966 about this) A stock 87 GN with a little tuning on street tires will beat a stock LS-1 Z28 in 1/4 mile.
