OMG! I have to agree that it may not be worth saving. Before I would spend any money on it I would look at how rusty it is on the under side.

If you really want to fix it up and not spend 4X what it will be worth when you are finished I would look at trying to find another one that is missing a drivetrain but has less rust. This way you could take 2 and make 1 good car.

As for spending 5K on it, I am not sure I would spend 5K on it cash let alone having to borrow the money and pay interest on it. You could use the 5K and buy a really really decent car that is complete.

I am not trying to put down the car but I am really thinking it IS worse than it looks after you get it stripped down.


Hell for 5K I could by 2 more Corvettes!
