After reading what you put on the AllData forum. I suspect you have some brake warpage issues. Also, since you said its a 96, have you had the suspension looked at by an experienced technician? There was a recall on some ball joints, I believe, a few years back for the 95-99 eclipses. You should contact your local dealer about that cuz if they find the ball joints to be bad, they replace them at no cost to you. I think I still have the recall paper they sent me. I'll try to find it to give you the info, but the dealer should have record of that recall. Either way, it's probably a good idea to get it checked out cause it's no fun having a wheel come off the car at highway speed.
