It is really unfortunate that this happened, and quite frankly, not to get political, but you can blame a green/Democrat controlled Congress on this one. CAFE regulations are the reason for this, and that issue is entirely political in itself. Barack Obama wants to raise the fleet average mpg, which will further hurt every car maker, especially domestic ones, and also prevent the production of high horsepower cars like the Viper, ZR1, and GT500KR. Many people are saying these cars will be the last of their kind, and now is the time to snap them up.
