if im not mistaken didnt they do it becuase they saw that the citroen c4 was so fast and it had a hatch body and they realized that the hatch would be a lot better in terms of rallying and aero dynamic effeciency so thats why they used it. I will agree its not the best looking thing in the world but it works for them and in there first rally at athens with not testing it placed third i believe which given the competition level is fantastic.
