I don't think it'll last long. I am pretty sure we'll be hearing that they struck an agreement very soon. They are just feeling each other out. The UAW has to know that GM is really hurting financially and that they can't push very hard, but they need to get the best deal they can from GM because it will be a template for the upcoming contracts with Ford and Chrysler.
