The idea is to keep the cost down... so people can afford it. The 03 Cobra V8 was 390hp... Quite honestly, those German V8s are cool, but I prefer the LS line to any of them. That new CTS-V will rock the V10 M5 and the V8 M3. Ford is giving the 2010 Mustang 400hp, as mentioned before, but clearly neither of you have actually driven or raced a fairly new V8 Mustang. I could put $1000 into it, and come out with 350hp. It's a versatile engine.
