Well, in reality 260HP and 302ft lb of torque are the sort of figures you'd expect from a muscle car from the 70's, but for a modern V8 it isn't much. BMW and Mercedes V8s are pushing far more than that. I think it's about time Ford updated its line of V8s, maybe integrating overhead cams with variable timing and cylinder deactivation. They can pull more horsepower from the same sort of displacement with fewer restrictions and better economy.
