My name's Kian L, and I live in MD, like it says. Check out my facebook! I've always known alot about how different types of engines work; i've been reading about them and hearing about them from my dad almost all my life, but i just started working on cars last year or so and i love it. I'm just getting into body work and chasis modification, although i must admit I'm not a fan. I think its important to focus on engine efficiency rather than aerodynamics and show. I hate seeing beat up old toyotas on the road with $8k body kits and huge mufflers. But I love cars all in all, and that's why i joined this site :)

oh yeah, i'm persian :D

Yeah, i noticed yesterday that the car you have was the same one that my bro showed me.  So i showed him this profile.

I'm actually also on MDSS, but not online it that often.

No they are 1976 corvettes, but yeah i am a huge fan of corvettes, i think the best year of corvette would have to be 1967 though, those are what started the whole stingray look.

I loved it. Never driven a badass car like that one.

im trying to find that cable so i can upload some more recent pics, sorry guys

07/11/2008 11:13:08

haha! I think it's a little bit of both. I think it's too fast for it's own good and could quite possibly blow up. I hope I can try it some day, but if not... I still have my kart which is fine for me, I guess.

07/10/2008 12:44:25

we bought my kart, but my dad's is handbuilt. I wish I could drive that, but I'm not allowed to even be near the thing when it goes off.

07/04/2008 17:31:48

thanks man. sorry for the late reply, my power went out last night and it just came back on. its a 2000.

07/04/2008 14:39:23

Do you know of http://www.turnermotorsport.com/

07/04/2008 14:38:27

I went to Walt Whitman HS '07.

Your 323i has the smaller engine, but lots of the 325/8i mods should still work on yours.  I assume you know this.  You've got a nice list going there.

The only mod I've really got in my e34 is an ECU chip that brought the HP from 208hp to 253hp and torque from 222lb/ft to 261lb/ft.  Quite a chip for the old M30 engine, which came underpowered and detuned from the factory so that one could use regular fuel.  Finding mods for the e34 is difficult enough, but its an amazingly fun engine to work on.

Oh, and I've also got 2002 530i wheels.

seems like we're both in potomac.  I drive a 1989 BMW 535i.

06/24/2008 15:07:09

hey! put some pics  of that sl up when you get the chance!

06/22/2008 12:57:39

An amphijeep huh? That would be cool, but it would rust out in 6 months!

Yeah, I agree with you. No need to modify every single part. Might as well start your own car company if you do that.

06/21/2008 14:38:03

haha my fault! I could've sworn I read "S500". Haha, anyways, nice cars either way. haha and yes.. with the numbers the new cts-v are putting up, it's hard not to upgrade.

06/19/2008 22:02:04

Haha, thanks! Yeah, I'm not really a tuner car guy. I like to keep cars pretty stock. The blower on the Jag is a stock Eaton Supercharger. I believe the power rating on the car is low too... it seems way faster than 370.

The Bimmer and the Jeep look nice. Bet you're happy to have gotten rid of the Jeep with current gas prices!

06/19/2008 17:43:04

why is that double spaced!? ah!

well the mustang gt is a much lighter car than the cts-v, so you can't knock it too much. is the cts-v the northstar v8 or the ls6? but yeah man the cobras great. why not just save the 4 grand and go for an '07 gt500? thats 500 bhp right there lol

and yeah man next time i'm up in buffalo i'll hit you up haha.

haha sounds good. I would love to have a GT500, but I'm not sure my dad would be completely comfortable with me having a 500hp stock daily driver. But yeah, the CTS-V has the LS6, so it's a C5 Z06 sourced engine. It's a lot of fun, but the chassis really can't handle more power with the axle hop. The new one is the one to look out for. 556hp, 0-60mph in 3 and a half seconds, 191mph top speed. It's the fastest production sedan ever. Maybe your dad should trade in that S500 ;) Haha, only kidding, Mercedes-Benz makes great cars. I love the S class. Put up pictures of that thing if you get the chance!

06/19/2008 13:51:12

oh and no, we don't have a shop, just a really big garage. haha it's dad's hobby, and I love helping out when I can.

06/19/2008 10:56:22

hahaha, alright, I'll make sure that I don't. I don't want you wrecking that pretty BMW! haha.

and well it really depends on how bad the car is.. take my dad's manta.. when we first bought that the whole front of the car was gone, from an accident. But dad really reallllly wanted to get it back up and looking better than ever. So... I have no idea how much is in that car.. a lot.. but I do know that every time he complains about the engine, (which is getting replaced right now) he says that he easily could've made well over 1,000 HP if only he liked big block chevy's. But he stuck with the OPEL engine and I have no idea how much it's going to make now. My car, it was in ok shape when we bought it, needed some serious TLC though, and after we threw some money into that, it is what it is and I love it. =)

yeah i agree. especially considering that the mazda rx- line is
designed with a rotary 3. thats like the essence of the rx-7 and rx-8,
you cant just go an kill that haha. and yeah the bmw's mine, thats what
i drive around every day. its my baby

how about you, how much power does that mustang put down?

Haha, that's pretty sweet. I've always had a thing for BMWs. The stang doesn't put down as much as you'd think, only about 270 hp at the crank. I'm hoping to upgrade to a cobra soon however, which go 390hp stock, and with 4 grand of modifications you can have them pushing 500 at the rear wheels. So there's a lot of potential, I just have to figure out what to do with it.

The big horsepower car in my family though is the CTS-V. She has 400hp at the crank. That's the really fun one =) They're both unique though. The mustang is awesome for spinning wheels and doing fishtails, and the Cadillac is great for just having the need for speed.

Anyways, that BMW looks nice. We should race =)

it really wasnt that much work man, and really thanks again. if you look in my profile page, i have all the mods in the about me section for it. the cherokee is a perfect platform. i didnt even have to modify the wheelwells or fenders. and i always try to modify cars without going overboard, you gotta keep the presence of the original car there, you know?

haha yeah definitely. That's actually part of the reason I hate V8 swaps in RX7s or 240SXs.. it's just so impure. well good work anyways.. is that bimmer yours?
