Working on Budget

by Stangcoupe68 Posted On 04/20/2008 13:27:19

Well my dad and I bought our mustang awhile back when neither of us really knew much about cars.  After having the car for a week or so a person pointed out that there were only four studs on the axels in the back.  At first we were going to get a plate convert but we decide to go full out and get a new rearend.  At first I considered a 9 in but then I thought about like this: we have a 302 without and mods and it will never have to be as stong as a 9.  So we ended up taking an 8.8 posi from a foxbody.  How much was it? FREE.  the WHOLE thing was free.  now thats a way to be on a budget.....with luck.  So we just got the rearend from he powdercoater, we already got the axels ($80), and we got some gears, wheels, tires.  the only thing where we didnt get a deal on was the gears.  The axels were from a truck in a junkyard.  want details, just ask
