The G8 sport truck

I'll admit the idea is somewhat original and GM designers were thinking outside the box on this one, but I question it's functionality in terms of usefullness.  This actually reminds me of an SSR but let me ask this, how many of you have seen actually seem them on the road or carrying anything in the back for that matter.  The G8 is a good car and most agree, but why screw it up by putting a bed on it?  I think that will lead to it's downfall and why isn't Pontiac following the crowd by still not offering more fuel efficient cars anyway?  I think GM is dying and soon will be left in time like AMC, Pierce-Arrow, and Datsun.

I've seen a couple SSR's out there, but there not good for anything other than looks and showing off. Sport truck's like this aren't the greatest things in the world. I like the original G8 but puttin a sport truck line out would be stupid for GM to do, i really don't think you will see any of these come off the line.
