If there was a better word for amazing, I'd use it. It's kicking my dad's butt mechanical wise. But all and all it's beautiful and should be on the raod soon so I can drive it to Carlilse this year.

04/14/2008 11:57:51

Uhh heads basically, after i wrecked it i was like ahh what the hell, went out did an intake bigger throttle-body accel wires, NGK plugs, shortie hedmans, and thas whwere the exhaust ends, LOUD, lol, u got the 300zx

04/10/2008 21:34:17

Nope, I do have a Ford though, a HO Ford Explorer, makin round 300 hp

04/10/2008 04:18:18

Haha, man I just got the car in Oct 07. Still paying for the car so no mods as of yet! Though things I have to fix already, my front bumber got dislodged one time when I got stuck in the snow. So it threatens to fall off regularly.

Thanks for comment! ^__^

thanks man,. I wish it was an R32, lol if I had an extra 10k lying around I would have sprung for it but.  Your engine looks beastly! What does put down??

04/08/2008 21:00:37

Yea thats not good when all that stuff breaks. In the future I am looking to build an S2000. they look awesome and are very well balanced. I would really like to do an STI or WRX if the money is there. If not probably something cheaper like an Integra.

oil pan leak couple, belts, shudder....head gasket, exhaust all total about 2 grand worth of parts and labor she lasted to 160,000 miles with minimal rust and great interior ill deffenly miss it haha

what kinda car u lookin to get eventually?

04/08/2008 20:14:43

Wow that is interesting! i had no idea that chevy would use the same part as nissan, especially something so complex as a trans. I'm surprised that your honda was too expensive to repair. My dad had a 82 accord that he got rid of in 2004 but still ran real strong.

When I am done with school I want to do the same thing. Build a car that will be fast and all. That sounds like a really good idea to do with your Z. That will be mean as hell when you transfer the engine haha.

sadly enough it is my daily driver haha... im still in high school so its not to bad i wouldve been usin my honda accord but ended havin to junk it cause it was to expenisve to repair

anywho once im done with school and have a stable job i planed on pullin the engine and gettin a used jdm tt engine but then i did some reading on the 300zx and decided id rather dropp in a gm crate engine because interestingly enough the 300zx's shared the same borgwarner manual tranny as camaros in the 90's

04/08/2008 16:25:57

haha yea it is a good thing, but damn i hope thats not your daily driver and you have to deal with that mileage. it looks sick though. turbo in the future hopefully?

CaptainZtag wrote:

savin gas ant a bad thing haha i get like 12mpg right now bout 65$ for a full tank

naw its a non turbo unforunatly, still rips though

04/08/2008 15:54:50

I drive a Saturn right now, I have no money being a poor college student to afford a car that makes any kind of power. It's good though with the gas as high as it is. Is your Z a twin turbo?

yo man whats good?, what kinda car u drive?

turbos are nice and all but there hard to keep up man

go with the 2.5 if parts are easy, but hey once again ur choice

Getting parts for the 2.5 is easier...but problem is getting the 2.5, much less actually swapping it in correctly

04/05/2008 14:40:52

oh yeah...that's one of those "hiding in plain sight" things..
I would have caught it eventually..

I also have to choose if I'm gonna get an engine swap (2.5L 16v has performance parts from AMG on the market...so I'm interested lol)
also...I like the sound of Turbo Charging....but I'm not sure if that would go well with the quiet VIP High-Roller look...I've got time to think about it though lol

04/05/2008 14:37:25

hell yeah man!!!  Where you located?!  We'll have to cruize sometime...

04/05/2008 14:16:38

Well, the plan right now is too get it running perfectly (it's been sitting since August..can't be healthy) So I'm gonna start out like this;
-Battery
-Air Filter
-New Fuses
-New windshield wiper
-A new exhaust system (expensive part  but its a Benz)
-New shocks (front passenger, and rear driver are blown )
-Replace wood-grain ("wood-grain" is peeling? Didn't know wood could peel, but appearently it's some cheap stuff lol)
-Get an actual radio going
-New Paint
-Window Tint
-Rims+Tires
-Re-apolster the interior
-Then raid the engine bay with cash

04/04/2008 23:45:24

Yeah, right now I'm debating whether or not I want to just restore it to OE and just keep it fresh, becuase it's about to hit the "classic" mark (4 years )
But then I'd also like to make it into a VIP dd.
both would be sweet as hell, but the VIP dd would make more of a personalized car, and could last me a long time (seeing as it's a benz, and I would be getting an eventual engine swap for it...not sure what engine yet either)
and the body has zero rust on it, that I can find, and I've looked pretty extensively...the hood paint is peeling slightly, but I'm getting it painted black (currently silver..pain in the arse) so that shouldn't be a problem.  So, with Benz engineering (especially the Baby-Benz) this car could last me until they outlaw gasoline engines lol
